TELEVISION

There is a Smart TV in the lounge, Utilise (Freeview or TVNZ +) streaming for regular television viewing. Additionally, the TV comes equipped with apps like Netflix, which you can access using your personal login.

DISHWASHER

There is a dishwasher with dish tabs in the cupboard under the sink. It would be greatly appreciated if you could turn on the dishwasher before you check out.

COFFEE MACHINE

Make sure the water at the back of the machine is topped up before using.  To operate the coffee machine, here is the instructions...

HOT WATER

The tap to the right of the sink is a hot water tap. You may need to turn it on when you arrive, under the sink. To work it, depress the lever twice and then push backwards towards the TV.

OVEN

For the lower oven to turn on, the time has to be set (if it isn’t already). Press the timer button, use the dial to set the time, then hold down the clock button and the button to its left for 2 seconds. The time will stop flashing and you’ll be able to use the oven.

OUTDOOR CUSHIONS

The cushions for the outdoor furniture are also found in the scullery. Please bring them in when not using them and overnight. They are very light and will blow away.

LAUNDRY

The laundry can be found to the right of the TV. Laundry powder is supplied. There is no washing line but there is a clothes airer. For more information please click below.

AIR CON / FIREPLACE

The heat pump is more effective in warming the place than the fireplace. The heat pump is on the wall to the left of the kitchen and the remote is beside it. The snow flake is for cooling the house and the sun is for heating. You can increase the fan using the fan button. There is a fireplace - here are the instructions...

SPEAKER

You can pair your phone with the speaker provided in the basket on the kitchen bench. A charging cable is supplied in the basket. See link below for instructions.

BUGS

You may encounter some insects; this is beyond our control. Martinborough is known for its ants, cockroaches, and flies.

ICE MAKER

Ice can be made by opening the fridge, and on the right, you’ll see an ice button you can turn on. Ice will then flow into the compartment in the freezer. Please turn it off when you have enough, as it will keep producing.

SECURITY

The front privacy screen door and ranch slider can be opened and locked from inside. No keys are needed for these doors. The privacy screen may auto-lock when closed, depending on the setting. To lock the ranch slider, pull it back slightly and twist the lever up; it won’t lock if pushed fully in. It might take a few tries to master this. Ensure all windows, doors, and louvres are closed when you leave, and return the keys to the lockbox upon departure.

RUBBISH / RECYCLING

There is a rubbish bin in the kitchen and additional bin liners located under the kitchen sink. If the bin gets full, please take out and place into the red wheelie bin located outside. During the holiday season, we kindly ask that you put the red wheelie bin out should it be full. Rubbish collection happens every Wednesday, but if there’s a public holiday, it will be delayed by one day. If you're here during that time, please ensure the wheelie bin is put out for collection by 7.30am Wednesday morning. Thank you so much for your help! RECYCLING - The black wheelie bin with yellow lid is for paper, clean cardboard, recyclable plastics, aluminium cans and tins only. NO GLASS to go into this bin please. There are green and/or maroon recycling bins located outside these are for GLASS only please.
