NOTE FROM OWNER
This is our house and we love it. Please take care of it as you would your own. We understand that accidents happen and we ask that you let us know of any spills, breakages or damage. We will not charge for most minor breakages (e.g. wine glasses). But we may need to charge for the cost of repairing or replacing significant breakages, spills causing lasting stains, or damage to the property. If you do spill on the carpets, please try to remedy immediately using damp kitchen towel or a damp cloth and blotting (not rubbing) to remove the stain.
THE LODGE
The Lodge is a new addition to The Wine Shed. Architecturally designed self-contained minor dwelling, finished to the highest spec. It was completed in December 2025. It contains a further two double bedrooms, two microcement bathrooms, and a gorgeous birch-ply living area with kitchenette. Polished concrete floors and the finest fixtures make this a truly luxury home. The two buildings are separate but immediately adjacent. The arrangement is perfect for two families, for a group of friends, of for a single family with grown-up children.
DISHWASHER
Dishwashing tablets can be found under the kitchen sink. It would be greatly appreciated if you could turn the dishwasher on before checking out. For more information, please click below.
OVEN
The Wine Shed - Check the power is on (switch is between two sockets on the wall behind and to the left of the oven). Dial your preferred function (bake, fan bake, fan forced, grill). Dial in what temperature you would like. When using the cook top please ensure the range hood is turned on. This helps eliminate smells but also keeps moisture out of the air. Please refer to the QR code for more information. MICROWAVE - There are microwaves in the Wine Shed (shelf under the kitchen bench) and the Lodge kitchen.
CENTRAL HEATING
The Lodge - The central heating panel for the Lodge is on the wall to the right when you enter the living/dining area. Press ON then set the temperature at 21 degrees.
COFFEE MACHINE
The Wine Shed: We have an Expobar machine and grinder which produces sublime coffee. It’s easy to use. Turn it on and wait for it to heat (5 mins). Grind your coffee into the metal container provided (turn the grinder on at the side and press the container against the front of the grinder). Use a spoon to put the coffee in the portafilter then use the tamper to compress the coffee. Twist the full portafilter tightly into the machine (insert with the handle facing 45 degrees left and twist to the right until the handle is pointing straight towards you). Pull up the lever. Let run for around 20 seconds until you have a perfect shot with a lovely crema. Use the steam wand to heat your milk in a stainless steel jug.

DINING TABLE
The dining table in The Wine Shed is made of natural wood and is prone to scratching. We’d be really grateful if you use placemats when you eat. They should be there on arrival but, if not, they are in the drawer inside the sideboard by the kitchen. Also, to protect the table, please place hot dishes and pots on the black iron trivets which you’ll find on the table.
LAUNDRY
The Wine Shed: There is a washing machine & dryer. Laundry powder is provided. Click below for instructions.
BBQ
The Wine Shed: Our Weber barbecue is easy set up on a bench on the northern side of the house. It’s dead easy to use. Turn on the gas at the bottle; turn on the gas at the BBQ, then press the lighter! You get best results with the lid down. Please clean it thoroughly for the next guests. A $60 cleaning fee will apply if it is not left clean.
FIREPLACE
The Wine Shed: The wood burner is wonderfully effective. It will keep the whole house toasty even on the coldest evenings. In autumn and winter, wood and kindling are provided in the basket next to the burner. More wood is available in the pile in the shed next to the garage. Feel free to cut your own kindling using the small axe next to the wood pile. Firelighters and matches are next to the fireplace.
RUBBISH / RECYCLING
There is a rubbish bin in the kitchen and additional bin liners located under the kitchen sink. If the bin gets full, please take out and place into the black rubbish bin located outside.
