WELCOME TO THE GLADE: Your "backyard" is approximately 4 acres & there are a number of paths you can walk; both through the bush & alongside the stream. There are signs to show you where the paths are. Basically, any path will eventually lead you back to the main driveway or The Glade.

The paths have been carefully cut through the bush but can be uneven underfoot with stones, tree roots and natural undulations - so please be careful. You will find eels in a number of the ponds on these walks. The eels can be fed with food scraps (meat only please, as they are not vegetarian). The eels are quite blind but they do have an amazing sense of smell so it may take a few minutes for them to appear.

The bird life is abundant and includes: Bellbird, Tui, NZ Pigeon, Kingfisher, Morepork, Fantail, Wax-Eye, Korimako, Kereru, Kotare, Ruru, Piwakawaka, Tauhou. Eastern Rosella, California Quail. As well, you might also see an occasional rabbit or deer. Please respect the fauna and flora.

The bridge over the stream is the boundary, so please don't cross it.

We kindly ask you to check-out by 10am, unless you have stated that you want a late checkout ahead of time.

This property is strictly NO smoking, and this includes vaping.

Please be mindful of noise levels and your surrounding houses. NO OUTSIDE NOISE after 10PM.

TELEVISION

The lounge TV is a Smart TV, Netflix and Apps are available, you will need your own login details. SKY runs through the lounge and bedroom TV's. Lounge TV - press the Netflix or Home button on the remote to login to Apps. To return to SKY press the home button and select TV/Input SKY HDMI 1. Bedroom TV - to access SKY, click the Source button on the TV remote, then select TV, then ATV1 with the channel buttons. To change channels on the bedroom TV point the SKY remote at the SKY box in the lounge. Make sure both SKY boxes are turned on.

COOKING & DINING

All the crockery, glassware, cookware, serve-ware and utensils you may need during your stay are located in the kitchen cupboards. Dishwasher tablets are located under the bench, please put this on before you leave. Complimentary tea, coffee, sugar, eggs, butter, spreads, bread and milk are provided.

COFFEE MACHINE

There is tea and coffee provided. There are pods available for the Delonghi coffee machine.

WOODBURNER

The is the woodburner in the lounge with plenty of wood in the basket for your use and more outside.

BBQ

Please leave the BBQ as you find it. BBQ tools are located in the kitchen in the drawers beside the pantry. Cooking oil is in the in pantry in the kitchen. A $60 cleaning fee will apply if it is not left clean.

BUGS

Whilst we take every measure to ensure any unwanted visitors remain away, there will be the odd fly when you arrive, they always find their way in.

LAUNDRY

Please feel free to use the washing machine. Laundry powder is supplied.

UE BOOM

There is a UE boom you are welcome to use to play your favourite music

SPA TOWELS

Striped spa/ pool towels are on the washing machine. Rinse off in the shower before entering spa. Please don’t touch the temperature settings, use jets only and close spa lid once you are finished using it. Please refrain from drinking with glassware in the spa.

RUBBISH / RECYCLING

Please use the rubbish bins provided and where possible keep recycling seperate from daily waste. There is a large black bin for all kitchen and general rubbish to go in. There are two bins provided - Green/Maroon bins are for clean, unbroken bottles and jars. Recycled plastics, metal cans & tins. Large black bin with yellow lid is for paper, newspaper & cardboard.
