HOUSE RULES
We kindly ask you to check-out by 10am, unless you have stated that you want a late checkout ahead of time.
This property is strictly NO smoking, and this includes vaping.
The Forest House is dog friendly. If you would like to bring your dog - please bring your dog bed with you and please clean up any mess i.e. back yard, inside etc. Please don't let your dog on the furniture or beds. Please take a moment to clean up after your pet, particularly in the backyard, to maintain a pleasant and welcoming environment for everyone.
Please be mindful of noise levels and your surrounding houses. NO OUTSIDE NOISE after 10PM.

TELEVISION
The Samsung 65 inch TV is a Smart TV. Use the remote to turn on and off. Sound & volume for the TV is operated through the remote. You are welcome to use the DVD player. There is a huge collection of movies in the drawers under the TV. The playstation is there for your use. All games etc are in the drawers under the TV.
COFFEE MAKER
There is a Nespresso coffee machine - Make sure water at the back of the Nespresso machine is topped up before using. One pod per person per night.
BUGS
You may encounter some insects; this is beyond our control. The Wairarapa is known for its ants, cockroaches, and flies.
LAUNDRY
The is a full laundry to use at The Forest House. Laundry powder is supplied.
RUBBISH / RECYCLING
There is a rubbish bin and additional bin liners. If the bin gets full, please take out and place into the black rubbish bin located outside. RECYCLING - There are green and/or maroon recycling bins located outside these are for GLASS only please.
GAS HOT WATER
Have you run out of hot water? Is the water running cold? This likely indicates that your gas supply is depleted. To resolve this, locate the gas bottles outside the house. You’ll find an indicator dial in the center of the bottles; simply turn the dial to switch to the other gas bottle. If you have to do this during your stay with us, please inform us.
HEATING
Feel free to use the central heating system for heating or cooling the house. Instructions are available if needed in the drawer in the kitchen. Once it is turned on, it does take a few minutes to start. Please ensure the windows and doors are closed if using it.
BBQ
To use the Weber, turn on the gas and press the ignition. Please do not forget to turn the gas and Weber off when finished. Please clean it thoroughly for the next guests. A $60 cleaning fee will apply if it is not left clean.
