TELEVISION
Small Samsung remote control. TV sound: Sound output can be set via the "123" button on the Samsung remote. Options are TV sound or "Optical" (surround speakers). To use the surround speakers, the Denon amp (under TV) must also be turned on. If using the surround speakers, volume is controlled using the Denon remote control (not the TV remote).
DISHWASHER
There is a dishwasher, with dish tabs in the cupboard under the sink. Kindly start the dishwasher if there are any dirty dishes left behind when you leave.
FIREPLACE / HEATING
Aside from the wood fire, there are 4 electric oil fin heaters in the store cupboard.
BENCHTOP
The concrete benchtop has been coated with a food-safe sealant but is susceptible to staining. Please wipe up any spillages or residue as soon as possible.
UNDERFLOOR HEATING
Bathroom - A blank screen showing 3 dots in circles means that the child lock has been activated. The thermostat can be unlocked by drawing an ‘L’ on the screen in a single stroke, starting with the upper left dot.
VENTILATION
The ventilation system (MHRV) runs constantly in the background to provide fresh air to the interior, even when all the doors and windows are closed. It also extracts moisture and heat from the bathrooms. The system relies on sensors and cannot be adjusted. Please contact the host if you would like the main system to be turned off. The small white control panel by the kitchen island controls the 2 ventilation fans either side of the front French doors. Again, these run constantly in the background and are reactive to the environment, so please refrain from changing the settings.
LIGHTING
KITCHEN UNDERSHELF LED LIGHT - Switch is located between the 2 power sockets on the wall at the right-hand side of oven benchtop.
BUNK ROOM VELUX SKYLIGHT - Remote control is located on RH wall in the store cupboard. Skylight will automatically close if it senses rain / moisture.
LIGHTING IN BEDROOMS - Queen bedrooms: Bedside lights can be individually controlled from the lamps, and from the switch at the room entrance (which must be "on" for the lamps to go). Bunk LED light strip switches are on the back wall, to the left of the bunk steps. Bunk bedside lights are controlled from the light fittings themselves.
BUGS
You may encounter some insects; this is beyond our control. Martinborough is known for its ants, cockroaches, and flies.
RUBBISH / RECYCLING
Please use the rubbish bins provided and where possible keep recycling seperate from daily waste. There is a large black bin for all kitchen and general rubbish to go in. There are two bins provided - Green/Maroon bins are for clean, unbroken bottles and jars. Recycled plastics, aluminium cans & tins. Large black bin with yellow lid is for paper, newspaper & cardboard.
