HOUSE RULES

We kindly ask you to check-out by 10am, unless you have stated that you want a late checkout ahead of time.

This property is strictly NO smoking, and this includes vaping.

Please be mindful of noise levels and your surrounding houses. NO OUTSIDE NOISE after 10PM.

TELEVISION

There is a black remote to operate the TV. Switch on the TV using the red POWER button. The TV is equipped with Freeview Live TV, Youtube, and Netflix. By pressing the HOME button you will be able to select what you want to watch.

BBQ

Feel free to use the BBQ, but please clean it thoroughly for the next guests. A $60 cleaning fee will apply if it is not left clean.

LAUNDRY

Feel free to use the washing machine during your stay, there is laundry powder provided.

COFFEE MACHINE

There is a Nespresso coffee machine - Make sure water at the back of the Nespresso machine is topped up before using. One pod per person per night.

ICE MAKER

There is an icemaker in the fridge. To ensure ongoing ice, please top up the water container in the lower part of the top fridge.

HOME THEATRE AUDIO

The Home Theatre Audio will turn on automatically when you turn on the TV. This ensures quality sound when watching TV. To listen to your own music you can connect and play an audio device (eg Spotify from your phone) through Bluetooth. Full instructions on how to pair your device are in the compendium located in the draw under the TV.

RUBBISH / RECYCLING

There is a rubbish bin in the kitchen and additional bin liners located under the kitchen sink. If the bin gets full, please take out and place into the black rubbish bin located outside. RECYCLING - The black wheelie bin with yellow lid is for paper, clean cardboard, recyclable plastics, aluminium cans and tins only. NO GLASS to go into this bin please. There are green and/or maroon recycling bins located outside these are for GLASS only please.

GAS HOT WATER

Have you run out of hot water? Is the water running cold? This likely indicates that your gas supply is depleted. To resolve this, locate the gas bottles outside the house. You’ll find an indicator dial in the center of the bottles; simply turn the dial to switch to the other gas bottle. If you have to do this during your stay with us, please inform us.

HEATING / AIR CON

A heat pump is available to use. Please use the heat pump remote to activate. Please keep the windows and doors closed when the heaters are in use. The snow flake is for cooling the house and the sun is for heating.

FIREPLACE

The silver bucket next to the fireplace has fire starters and the matches are in the left hand draw of the TV cabinet. You will find wood next to the fireplace, and if you run out of wood there is wood outside in the storeroom behind the house.

BUGS

You may encounter some insects; this is beyond our control. The Wairarapa is known for its ants, cockroaches, and flies.

SWIMMING POOL

The communal pool is available to use in the summer months (CLOSED from Easter weekend through to Labour weekend). Opening hours are 8am-8pm. Please familiarise and adhere to the pool rules at the entrance to the pool. The pool is only available to paid guests staying with you, not to visiting guests. A blue pool FOB is the key to enter pool. Simply wave the blue pool FOB at the entry pad at the gate to enter the pool gate.

TENNIS COURT

The tennis courts are available all year round. Courts are located before the first house on your left-hand side coming into Burgundy Drive.
