This property is strictly NO smoking, and this includes vaping.
Please be mindful of noise levels and your surrounding houses. NO OUTSIDE NOISE after 10PM.

TELEVISION
To watch free-to-air television channels, please use the Freeview, TVNZ+ or ThreeNow apps. Other pre-loaded paid subscription apps include: Netflix, Disney, Neon, Sky Sport, etc. To use these subscription services, please logon with your personal account. NB: Remember to logout of your personal account(s) before checking-out.
DISHWASHER
There is a dishwasher with dish tabs in the cupboard under the sink. It would be greatly appreciated if you could turn on the dishwasher before you check out.
HEATER / AIR CON
A heat pump is available to use in the lounge, using the heat pump remote to activate. Please keep the windows and doors closed when the heaters are in use. The snow flake is for cooling the house and the sun is for heating.
BBQ
Feel free to use the BBQ, but please clean it thoroughly for the next guests. A $60 cleaning fee will apply if it is not left clean.
FIREPLACE
Handle: Remove the handle after use. Caution: Handle will become hot if left in door while fireplace in operation. Air Control: Positions: Low (towards living room) – use to turn on fireplace... Intermediate (middle) – use for normal operation... High (towards wall) – use while starting, adding firewood, or high output Caution: The air control lever will become hot while fireplace in operation, use wooden handle of fireplace brush to adjust.
Additional firewood can be found in the woodshed behind the Cottage.
LAUNDRY
Please feel free to use the washing machine. Laundry powder is supplied.
GAS HOT WATER
Have you run out of hot water? Is the water running cold? This likely indicates that your gas supply is depleted. To resolve this, locate the gas bottles outside the house. You’ll find an indicator dial in the centre of the bottles; simply turn the dial to switch to the other gas bottle. If you have to do this during your stay with us, please inform us.
OVEN
Turn oven on using the power button. Select the required function. More information please click the link below. When using the cook top please ensure the range hood is turned on. This helps eliminate smells but also keeps moisture out of the air.
COFFEE MACHINE
Make sure the water at the back of the machine is topped up before using. To operate the coffee machine, here are the instructions...
RUBBISH / RECYCLING
There is a rubbish bin in the kitchen and additional bin liners located under the kitchen sink. If the bin gets full, please take out and place into the black rubbish bin located outside. RECYCLING - The black wheelie bin with yellow lid is for paper, clean cardboard, recyclable plastics, aluminium cans and tins only. NO GLASS to go into this bin please. There are green and/or maroon recycling bins located outside these are for GLASS only please.
BUGS
You may encounter some insects; this is beyond our control. Martinborough is known for its ants, cockroaches, and flies.
SPA POOL
Striped spa/ pool towels are on the washing machine. Rinse off in the shower before entering spa. Please don’t touch the temperature settings, use jets only and close spa lid once you are finished using it. Please refrain from drinking with glassware in the spa.
